Pros

  • The least expensive Osaki we publish, with an L-track roller path from neck through glutes
  • 78-inch reclined length matches the Solis and Vivo despite the entry price
  • Two spinning reflexology foot rollers and a Bluetooth speaker are included

Cons

  • 2D rollers with fixed depth; no adjustable roller intensity on the published spec sheet
  • Heat therapy is not listed on Osaki's official feature list
  • Published wall-clearance figure is a space-saving range rather than a precise clearance number

Our Take

Our editorial assessment of this chair, based on verified specifications rather than hands-on testing. This is a Research Review.

The OS-Champ is Osaki's cheapest published chair and the entry point to the brand. It is a 2D chair on an SL track, which means the roller path still runs from the neck through the glutes, but the pressure depth is fixed rather than adjustable.

Its biggest strength is price: at $1,299 direct from Osaki it is the least expensive chair we cover from a major brand, yet it still includes foot rollers, two-stage zero gravity and a Bluetooth speaker. Its biggest compromise is the mechanism class: 2D rollers and no published heat therapy put it a generation behind the Vito and Dreamer V2 for anyone who will use the chair regularly.

Our editorial assessment: the Champ is the right first chair for a buyer who wants the Osaki name and L-track coverage at the lowest possible price. If you expect daily use, share the chair or simply want adjustable depth, the Vito is the better long-term buy.

Where it fits in the Osaki lineup

The Champ anchors the very bottom of Osaki's current line. Nothing we publish is cheaper, and the only real decision is whether to stay here or step up to 3D with the Vito.

Consider spending more

  • Osaki OS-3D Ai VitoAbout $700 more than the OS-ChampThe cheapest 3D Osaki, with adjustable depth, AI body detection and lumbar plus calf heat.
  • Osaki 3D Dreamer V2About $1,200 more than the OS-ChampMore air cells, a longer reclined length and heated back rollers for about $1,200 more.
  • Osaki OS-4000XTAbout $3,500 more than the OS-ChampOsaki's older entry L-track chair — still 2D, but with body scanning and stretch programs on the spec sheet.

What you’re really paying for

This is the chair the rest of Osaki's line is priced against. The useful question is what the extra money above it actually buys.

  • SL track coverageThe same coverage story as the more expensive Osaki chairs: rollers travel from neck through the glutes. The fixed 2D mechanism is the limitation, not the track.
  • Two spinning reflexology foot rollersA genuine feature at this price and one of the reasons to consider the Champ over generic budget chairs.
  • 78-inch reclined lengthSame reclined length as the Solis and Vivo. Surprising at this price, though it comes with a larger wall-clearance figure.
  • No published heat therapyHeat is absent from Osaki's official feature list. If heat is important, the Vito is the better fit.
  • One-year parts and labor warrantyShort cover, typical for entry-level chairs. Factor the warranty into the total cost if you plan to keep the chair long-term.
