Editorial Policy

Independence

Rankings and recommendations are produced by the editorial team using the criteria published in How We Test. Affiliate partnerships, commission rates and retailer relationships play no part in which chairs are recommended or how they are ordered. No brand or retailer reviews our content before publication.

Sourcing

Factual product claims come from manufacturer specifications, published documentation, retailer listings or verified owner feedback, and important specifications can carry a source and verification date in our database. We do not present manufacturer marketing as an independent finding.

Testing claims

A review may only display "Tested by ChairMentor" when a verified testing record exists. Everything else is labelled a Research Review. This rule is enforced by the data model, not by editorial discretion.

Ratings

Ratings are editorial assessments, not laboratory measurements or aggregated customer reviews. Where we do not yet have enough sourced information, we publish no score rather than a placeholder.

Corrections

If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it and update the underlying product record so the correction propagates everywhere. Report an error through our contact page.

No medical claims

Massage chairs are comfort products. We do not describe them as treatments and we do not claim health outcomes.
