A full-size massage chair is a piece of furniture that moves. The space it needs upright is only part of the story; the reclined length and wall clearance decide whether it fits in practice.

Upright footprint
Measure the width, depth and height of the chair in its normal sitting position. Leave enough open space in front of the chair for the footrest to extend and for someone to sit down and stand up safely.
Reclined length and wall clearance
Check the manufacturer's reclined dimensions and wall clearance figure. Wall clearance tells you how far the chair must sit from the wall so it can recline without touching it. Chairs that slide forward as they recline need less clearance, which is valuable in smaller rooms.
Doorways and delivery path
Measure every doorway, hallway turn and stairwell between the curb and the final room. The boxed chair is large and heavy; confirm whether your delivery includes white-glove service or curbside drop-off.
Placement tips
Place the chair near a grounded outlet and away from direct sunlight or heat sources that could damage upholstery over time. If you plan to use the chair daily, leave the reclined footprint clear rather than tucking it against furniture.
