What the documentation says
Pregnancy appears as a contraindication, or a consult-a-physician warning, in the manuals of essentially every consumer massage chair across brands and price tiers. That is the manufacturer's own position on their own product.
Manuals commonly extend the same caution to heat functions, deep-tissue and percussion programs, and any use that produces discomfort.
Why the caution exists
The concerns raised in product documentation centre on vibration, sustained deep pressure, heat exposure and positioning. Manufacturers do not test their chairs on pregnant users, so the warning is a blanket one rather than a graded risk assessment.
That is precisely why it should not be second-guessed by a review site. An absence of testing is not evidence of safety.
Take it to your provider
If you are considering use during pregnancy, bring the manual and its warning page to your obstetric provider. Their answer may differ by trimester, by pregnancy risk factors, and by which functions you intend to use.
If you already own a chair and are pregnant, the conservative default is not to use it until you have had that conversation.
If you are buying for later
Many buyers shop with postpartum recovery in mind. The same rule applies, particularly after a caesarean or any surgical delivery.
Nothing about the purchase decision itself changes: fit, roller depth, warranty and return policy are still the things worth comparing.
