What actually separates them
- Roller class: 4D on the Vera against 2D on the 4000XT. Adjustable depth versus fixed depth is the most consequential difference available anywhere in this range, especially in a shared household.
- Track type: SL track on the Vera, L track on the 4000XT. Both continue under the seat; only the SL adds the upper-spine shaping.
- Warranty: Five-year tiering on the Vera against one year of parts and labour, then parts only, on the 4000XT. On a chair with this much mechanism, that is a real cost difference over time.
- Space: The 4000XT needs two inches of wall clearance and weighs 175 lb; the Vera needs 9.25 inches but is much shorter overall. Measure both dimensions before assuming the cheaper chair fits better.
